I've recently been trying to save money as at some point in the near future I'll be taking a trip to London, and you know what that means: shopping shopping shopping! Because my favourite shop, Brandy Melville, only has one shop in the UK, and its in London (typical) I need to save all the money I can! I can guarantee I will blow all the money I save in that one shop, its like heaven! So equipped with my trusty Piggy Bank and endless want for new clothes, I start my mission to save. Wish me luck.

Fashion | Haul | Blue Rinse

At the weekend I visited the Northern Quarter in Manchester, which has to be one of my favourite areas for unique and interesting shops of extreme variety. And it's not just the clothes shops, the Northern Quarter hosts an array of cafes from cute to grungey and the biggest, most amazing art supply shop I've ever come across. Blue Rinse is one of the many vintage shops in the Northern Quarter, and the one i spent most time in on saturday. Blue Rinse have some stock in Miss Selfridge and I think sometimes in Urban Outfitters but the actual shop Blue Rinse is like a treasure cove filled with unique finds. They remake clothes from vintage garments, alter vintage clothes to fit better, use vintage patterns to make new clothes and use vintage fabrics to make new pieces. On saturday I picked up some Levi shorts and a baggy summery top.
The Levis were a planned purchase, i was on the hunt for pale Levi shorts for summer. These fit the brief perfectly. At only £25, much cheaper than the ones sold in Urban Outfitters which can be up to £45 and up to £75 from the Levi website, they were a massive bargain for acid wash Levis. I opted for longer shorts than i had last year because lets face it my legs aren't the best, and slightly longer shorts give me more coverage and less chance of showing half my butt, because that's never a good luck, is it? Being remade and altered means they won't be exactly the same as other Levis and makes them that little bit more special.
The top was more of an impulse buy. A way for me to wear summery clothes without it being too tight or bright. I was drawn in by the pretty gold pattern and comfy baggy shape. In all honestly this shape of top isn't the most flattering style for me but at only £12 I couldn't resist.
I styled this top and shorts with a gold chain necklace from H&M for around £8 and black tights, because it's not quite sunny enough for bare legs yet, and my trusty converse to achieve an easy, summery, casual look.

Random | Liebster Award

Firstly can i say thank you to ElZee and BethanyLu for nominating me for this, I HIGHLY recommend you check out their blogs, they're awesome! I can't believe I've been tagged in this twice, I've only been blogging less than a week! So thank you so much!

Okay so onto the award, these are the rules:
1. Each person nominated must list 11 things about themselves.
2. Answer the 11 questions left by your tagger.
3. Create your own 11 questions.
4. Tag up-to 11 people.
5. NO TAG BACKS.

Without further ado here's my 11 facts about me!

1. I have a slight addiction to green tea, its got to the point where I have my own teapot, and I've been promised a kettle to put in my room when we move house. Yep.

2. I spend the majority of my time on the internet, whether its blogger, tumblr, youtube, tumblr, twitter, tumblr (it's mostly tumblr) it's how I spend most my time. Is that a bit sad?

3. I get panic attacks sometimes and I never know when I'm going to get them, they can be at really awkward times as well, I had one at a Party once, and I almost had one in a maths exam- my timings not good!

4. I'd love to live in London when I'm older, just love it so much, or maybe New York. The shops, the food, the buildings and galleries, its all just so amazing there.

5. I'd LOVELOVELOVE to have brightly colored hair I think its so gorgeous but it would look really stupid on me, which is a disappointment, Plus my school would expel me if I did (I'm not even kidding they made someone cut off their dip dye) I also love brunette hair, I'm blonde and i just wish i wasn't.

6. My favourite bands are Fall Out Boy, WALK THE MOON, Bastille, Friendly Fires, MUSE, Everything Everything, The Naked And Famous, Shields and The XX but trust me there are so many more, bands are pretty much my life.

7. I really want a career in fashion when I'm older, I'm not good at any academic subjects like science or maths i have to do so much work just to get a B, it really sucks especially as my school says an A isn't good enough and you all need A*'s ( I really don't know how I passed the entry exam- complete fluke).

8. I don't have much in common with most my friends, most the people I like most live really far away, I'm talking hours here, which really sucks. And to top it off I'm too shy to talk to new people in real life.

9.  I really want long hair but my hair is only just past shoulder length and super thin and has been for about 3 years now- there is no hope! I've tried so many hair growth shampoos and they're just not doing much.

10. My favourite author is John Green, 'The Fault In Our Stars' made me cry so much- you must read it if you haven't already! I'm halfway through 'Looking For Alaska', which is so far amazing, and I've got 'Will Gayson, Will Grayson' ready for when I've finished that.

11. I can't wait to leave my school and go to sixth form and then uni, where I'll actually be doing things I enjoy. I'll probably to do a Photography course and perhaps another creative course, at the moment my only good lessons are art. I'm hoping that being will other creative people will help me find people i have stuff in common with.

Okay so done with my 11 facts and onto the questions...

Beauty | Review | Benefit Mascara

I've had the benefit 'they're Real!' mascara before and really liked it so a while ago I decided that I would buy it again as my Estee Lauder 'Sumptuous Mascara' had almost ran out. Yesterday I finally got around to buying it, and picked one up from boots. I had really been looking forward to buying it as I remembered it being a fantastic mascara. However I was extremely disappointed with the results. I had a blog post all planned out for it and had even taken the before shots of my eye and some photos of the packaging. However when i got round to applying the mascara it was absolutely terrible. It was a kind of runny consistency that clumped on my eyelashes and made them stick together. The packaging promises 'dramatic length and volume', 'base-to-tip curl' and 'visible lift', however i saw none of these things. It was also extremely difficult to remove and was stuck to my eyelashes like glue. I don't know if i just got a dodgy batch or if it really wasn't meant for me, but I do know I'll be taking this back, and that I won't be buying any more products from benefit any time soon. Although my eyelashes are pretty long they are also annoying straight, so holding a curl is really difficult, even with good quality eyelash curlers. I'm thinking of buying the Urban Decay 'Supercurl Curling Mascara' or the Estee Lauder 'Zero Smudge Curling Mascara' as both have good reviews and promise a long lasting good curl. Let me know if you know if either of those mascaras or any good, or is you know any other good mascaras down in the comments as i am in need of a new one desperately.

Fashion | OOTD | Monochrome

Top- Urban Outfitters £30  | Leggings- Topshop £18| Cardigan- Brandy Melville £34 | Handbag- Topshop £45 | Necklace- Topshop (in the sale) | Bracelet- Stalls in Spain | Converse- Shuch £60 |Socks- Primark £2

I absolutely love monochrome. I came to the realisation I had an addiction when I colour co-ordinated my wardrobe out of pure boredom and procrastination from exams, only to discover about 50% of my wardrobe is black, and most of the rest is white. I've never been one for colour, ever since i was about 9 I've worn a lot of black- and I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but with summer just around the corner, I think I need to add a little colour to my wardrobe. Call it a belated new year's resolution. Or maybe just an excuse to buy more clothes...

Fashion| Converse

A few weeks ago i was lucky enough to buy a pair of flatform converse, bearing in mind i have been lusting over these for months you can imagine my excitement to finally get them. They have got to be one of my favourite pair of shoes EVER; and i have a fair few pair of shoes. I don't know if its the fact that they look good with practically anything, or the sheer cute-ness of them but I'm pretty sure I've fallen in love with them. It doesn't matter if you're wearing them with leggings, or a skater skirt, they look cute no matter what. Especially as I have a slight addiction to flatformed shoes- being pretty short a good platform gives me just that extra bit of height I'm missing. For £60 I'll definitely be getting my moneys worth.
