I absolutely love these dark blue velvet leggings, and at a fiver I couldn't really say no could I ?! As the weather in rainy rainy England is starting to warm up (only a teeny bit) I've switched from my parka, to my trusty oversized denim jacket, admittedly this was probably a mistake as i was pretty cold taking this but no pain no gain. Another slight (okay massive) obsession of mine at the moment is frilly socks, and these ones from Oasis are no exception. Overall this was a pretty casual look, with a balance of masculine and feminine touches.

So earlier this week I went to London with the excuse of needing a new winter wardrobe, and you can probably guess what happened, yep, lots of shopping. So these are just some of the things I bought. Topshop on Oxford Street is always a killer, but surprisingly I only bought the one thing from there, which was this embroidered jumper- I love it! Its the perfect mix of ghastly and stylish (I hope!), and the embroidery adds that little bit of colour I tend to lack. The denim jacket was from Monki, a shop I'd never been to before and let me tell you if you've never been you NEED to go, the interior is so pretty that even if you don't buy anything its worth the trip. The jacket is actually a miracle for me, as its the only denim jacket that looks good on me (hopefully) and trust me, I've tried on many a denim jacket. The collar is actually made from black corduroy but you can't really see that on the photo (sorry!). I was in desperate need for some more comfy leggings as my Brandy ones had got holes in the seams, and I looked everywhere for standard leggings that aren't see through, which is much harder than it should be! But not only are these ones opaque, they have a fleeced inner which means that they are so soft and warm which is perfect for winter as we all know leggings are not the warmest things. So I've faced my fear of having my face properly on here and just gone for It. I love velvet at the moment and as it is very on trend I thought I'd join the trend with this velvet crop top. Because this was just a casual outfit for a day in town I paired it with my converse to tone it down a bit, excuse my pale legs.

DIY cute hairbow

I made this tartan bow few days ago and I thought it was pretty cute so I decided to show you know to make it yourself! it was super easy and took about half an hour in total. You can attach it to a bobble or clip, I pinned mine to my hair with kirby grips and it stayed in all day pretty well. Let me know if you try it! :) 

OOTD | Sheer Black Maxi Dress

So last week I was on holiday in Spain (my excuse for the lack of posts- sorry!) and we visited puerto buenos, a posher area in spain; this meant I needed a posher dress- any excuse to buy a new dress is good enough for me. I picked this dress up in the sales in Miss Selfridge before I went away, it was only £20! I was so happy with it, at such a reasonable price I thought it was simple but unique. Because the dress is quite dressed up I kept the jewelry simple, with my silver heart necklace (Tiffany&co), a couple of bracelets (New Look and Inherited through family) and my nude slouch bag (River Island). 

OOTD | Moon t-shirt and leggings 

Last weekend I went to the maize maze with my friend (it's kind of a yearly tradition). I decided to wear this brandy melville moon t-shirt, which I've seen featured on websites like tumblr and weheartit frequently, with topshop velvet leggings, and my brandy melville khaki jacket, which I wear all the time. To accessorize I wore my gold h&m chunky chain and my topshop studded bag, and my flatform all star converse with leopard print laces I bought from urban outfitters. Unfortunately the weather was off/on rainy so just after these were taken it chucked it down with rain meaning we both got soaked through, thats when I discovered this coat isn't exactly waterproof but it was still a good day.
